The Heart of Giving

Stories of Healing and Hope

Dear Supporter,

Last week, we shared how our Resolution Health Support Workers (RHSWs) have supported over 10,000 people this year through more than 100,000 interactions. These numbers are staggering, but they don’t capture the heart of what we do: the deeply personal and transformative healing journeys we witness every day.

Today, we want to share a powerful story from a Survivor’s family. Their heartfelt words show the profound impact of our incredible RHSW, Norma Stump, and the difference your support makes:

"Our family’s heartfelt gratitude goes to Norma for supporting us after the unexpected passing of our beloved mom, an Indian Residential School and Day School Survivor and a client of IRSSS. Norma’s presence was a beacon of hope during an overwhelming time of grief.

Norma recognized the immediate support we needed. She guided us through cultural, spiritual, and emotional healing, helped coordinate final arrangements, and facilitated resources so we could honour our mom’s wishes. Her compassionate care allowed us to grieve and celebrate our mom’s legacy with dignity. We will forever cherish the vital role she played in our healing journey."

This is just one family’s story—one of hundreds of thousands of interactions this year. For us at IRSSS, every healing journey is sacred, and every person’s story matters deeply.

Your generosity makes this work possible. As we prepare for 2025, we need your support to ensure that Norma and our entire Resolution Health Support team can continue their mission of healing and hope.

Will you help us provide the culturally grounded, life-changing support that Survivors and their families rely on?

Every gift matters. Together, we can continue to honour Survivors, support families, and heal communities.

With gratitude and hope,
Wesley Scott, Veronica Haddon, and Gail Jones
